Brighton Government

The business of the Village of Brighton is conducted by a mayor-council type of government. The Village Board is assisted in its' work by standing committees, who make recommendations to the board for action and implementation.

Members of the Village Board of Trustees are elected to their seats for four year terms. The current trustees are:

Village Committees - The Village committees are made up of representatives from the Village Board of Trustees and community members. Their purpose is to review policies, practices, ordinances, problems, and develop recommendations to present to the Mayor and Village Board of Trustees for approval and action.
